PREFERENCE - WAYS TO EXPRESS PREFERENCE.

1) You can simply use Positive degree to show preference:
     for e.g.
     I do not like coffee as much as sugarcane juice.
     
2) Comparative degree can be used :
     for e.g.
    I like sugarcane juice more than coffee.

3) 'Would rather ........than' can be used to show preference:
    for e.g.
    I would rather drink sugarcane juice than coffee.

4) Prefer to
    e.g.
    I would prefer sugarcane juice to coffee.


'Prefer to, Junior to, Senior to, Anterior to , Posterior to, Inferior to, Superior to ' these word do not take 'than' after them. These words always come with 'to'
