Difference Between Affect and Effect

Affect:  It is generally negative influence.
     e.g.  Flood Affected 1000 families.
              The dam affects 20 villages.
            
Effect : (n)  He now feels better it is the effect of the medicine.
               Effect can be good or bad influence.
               (v) effect:
                To make or to bring about,
                to implement
e.g. The new law will be effected from tomorrow.
